InfraMarker supports KMZ & KML to create vector and raster datasets.
A KMZ file consists of a main KML file and zero or more supporting files that are packaged in a Zip archive. When the KMZ file is unzipped, the main .kml file and its supporting files are separated into their original formats and directory structure, with their original filenames and extensions. An archive should contain only one KML file, located in the root of the archive.
The KML might contain the description of several vector datasets as well as rasters (described with the tag GroundOverlay). InfraMarker merges all the rasters found into a single raster dataset. Any other image found which is not described in the KML is ignored.
